Our Privacy Policy
Cancellations
– To ensure a seamless experience for all our clients, we require a 72-hour advance notice for cancellations. This allows us to adjust our schedules accordingly.
Rates
Our pricing structure is designed to be transparent and straightforward:
– A 3-hour minimum charge with subsequent billing in 15 minute increments.
– Double drive time fee, gas fee.
– Our hourly rate includes movers, a box truck, necessary equipment, and basic insurance coverage, with no additional hidden fees.
– Packing supplies are charge as used.
Customer Presence
– For the best moving experience, we request that you or a designated representative be present during the move. This ensures that all items are accounted for and that the move meets your satisfaction.
– SMS opt-in or phone numbers for the purpose of SMS are not being share.
Payment
– Payment is due in full upon completion of the move. We accept cash and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) and Zelle, Venmo and Cashapp. For credit card payments, the cardholder’s name must match your identification, and a signature will be required.
Additional Work
– If the move requires tasks beyond the initial job description, Ocean Wave Moving reserves the right to prioritize previously scheduled commitments. Additional services may be rescheduled based on our availability to ensure timely service for all clients.
Item Restrictions
– Unsanitary or unsafe items will not be moved.
– For safety reasons, children and pets must be kept clear of the moving area.
Non-Routine Moving
Ocean Wave Moving is not liable for damage resulting from non-routine moving scenarios, such as:
– Standing items on end
– Navigating sharp turns or tight spaces
– Working in overcrowded areas or difficult stairways
– Handling items in adverse weather conditions
Hazardous Materials
– For the safety of our team and clients, we do not transport flammable or hazardous materials.
Damage Claims
– All damage claims must be documented with detailed description and photos of the damages and file formal claim online at https://www.mymoveclaim.com/file-a-claim/
Limits of Liability
– Ocean Wave Moving is not responsible for items packed by the customer, including valuables such as jewelry, currency, documents, electronics, and firearms. These should be securely packed and removed prior to the move.
– We do not assume liability for the operational condition of electronic equipment, grandfather clocks, or other mechanical items.
– Items transported in the customer’s own vehicle or rental truck are not covered by our liability.
– Damage to soft flooring surfaces caused by moving heavy objects is not our responsibility.
– While we can assist with disconnecting and reconnecting appliances, we are not liable for any resulting plumbing or electrical issues.
Limits of Liability
– We are not responsible for the condition of major appliances. Ensure that refrigerators and freezers are emptied before the move. Due to their poor structural integrity, we do not repair pressed board or simulated wood furniture, including budget-priced and Ikea items.
