Usually, a sales representative will be able to give you a good idea of a price range over the phone. But for the most accurate estimate, Ocean Wave Moving recommends an on-site appointment to review the details of your move.

Local moves are hourly charge based. Once the completion time exceeds our minimum charge we charge prorated rate for every 15 minutes. There is a charge for DOUBLE DRIVE TIME between the first location and the last location. Ocean Wave Moving include free use of moving blankets, tape and Wardrobe boxes. All other packing supplies are charged as used Boxes, Paper, etc. There is a fuel charge 12% or based on miles depending on the distance.

Double drive time actually saves you money and also protects you from unscrupulous movers that might charge portal to portal. In essence double drive time means you don’t get charged for the time it takes to get to your home from our warehouse, or in other words the drive to your origin.
We also don’t charge you for the time it takes after the move is complete to get back to our warehouse.
Instead, the time to get from your origin starting point – where you are moving from) to your destination ending point – where you are moving to is logged, and then doubled. This is supposed to represent all of the drive time involved in your move.
If you think about it it makes sense. The reason the PUC does it that way is because you can actually see the amount of time it takes to get from your origin to your destination. You would not be able to know how long it takes to get to your origin from the warehouse, or to get to the warehouse from your destination so movers aren’t allowed to use this. So instead, the law says to pay twice for the time in the “middle” to represent the total drive time involved with your move.

Ocean Wave Moving recommend to remove all the contents from the furniture for safety reasons.

Yes we do. Please note we can not secure the plants or tie them down, we can only put a moving pad under the pot and put the plants in the back of the truck . Fragile pots have to be packed properly inside boxes in order to be moved safely. Ocean Wave Moving DO NOT take any liability for any damages to the pot or the plants. Some plants we can not based on the distance between the 2 locations and the size of the plants.

Yes we do. Please note our movers are all professionals but not certified technicians. Ocean Wave Moving DO NOT take any liability when disconnecting the appliances is involved with water or gas connections. You will have to be present when we disconnect the appliances for liability reasons.

We can dispose used packing supplies, foreman will provide extra cost for this service based on the items.

We offer disposal services. The charge is by volume of space.

Parking permits are a lot more expensive than parking citation tickets. We recommend to get a parking permit only if we risk other traffic or block the entire road/bus lane. In case we get a parking citation for double parking we add it to the final bill. Parking permits are available through www.movingpermits.com

Ocean Wave Moving accept all major credit cards (Visa, AMEX, MC.), Zelle, Venmo, cash, postal money orders. If you use a card a 6.9% convenience fee will apply. Deposit might be required when moving during the end of the month and weekends. Your deposit will be subtracted from your bill and on the day of your move you will pay the remaining balance at the drop off location.

We have GL coverage up to $1,000,000. 00. Proof of insurance can be provided for no additional charge upon request.
Adding your location/HOA/Property management as additional insured is involved with a fee of $50.00

Ocean Wave Moving provides FREE Basic Valuation Coverage: $0.60 per pound per article. For additional insurance please contact Movinginsurance.com

Unfortunately, professional moving companies cannot transport customers in the moving truck for liability reasons.

Pets cannot be carried in the moving truck. Dogs, cats, canaries and parakeets can usually be transported in the family car. If this isn’t convenient, your Ocean Wave Moving assistant will be glad to suggest alternate ways to ship your pets safely.

Ocean Wave Moving, as well as all other licensed movers, will not move hazardous or combustible items such as propane tanks, firearms, paint, and aerosols, as the temperature in the truck could cause these items to explode or ignite.
